Special Olympics Colorado's Winter Season returns this January with opportunities to compete, make friends and have fun!
Athletes and Unified partners ages 8+ can participate in alpine skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, nordic skiing, basketball, figure skating and speed skating. Powerlifting is also offered for athletes ages 14+, with competitions held in the spring.
Young Athletes ages 2-7 years old can explore new sports and build skills through "Learn To" events throughout the season. To stay up to date on Young Athletes events, click here.

Important Dates:
- Coach Registration Dates: October 5 – November 1
- Athlete and Unified Partner Registration Dates: October 5 – November 1
- Team Placement Announcements: Mid November
- Season Begins: January 4
Please note: New coaches/Unified partners need to complete a Class A Application and new athletes need to complete the Athlete Application to be fully eligible for participation. Returning coaches and Unified partners need to have a valid Class A Application.

What is Seasonal Registration?
- All athletes, Unified partners and coaches are encouraged to register each season.
- Registering for a sport does not replace the Athlete Application or Class A Application which must be valid for practice and competitions.
- Expirations notifications are emailed after each seasonal registration.
