During the winter season, Special Olympics Colorado offers the following sports:
- Alpine Skiing
- Basketball
- Figure Skating
- Nordic Skiing
- Snowboarding
- Snowshoeing
- Speed Skating
- Powerlifting*
*NEW THIS SEASON: In an effort to provide our powerlifting teams and athletes more time for training, powerlifting will now be offered across both winter and spring seasons. Starting September 30, athletes and coaches will be able to register for Powerlifting during winter season registration. Powerlifting registration will also be open again during spring season registration. Powerlifting practices will begin in the winter for many teams, but Regional and State competitions will still be held during the spring season.
Winter Season Season Registration Dates:
Coach Registration: September 30 – October 27
Athlete & Unified Partner Registration: September 30 – October 27
Team Placement Announcements: November 7 – 8
Winter Season Begins: January 5
