Many in-person events were cancelled while we all learned to live within a pandemic. However, the Spina Bifida Association of Colorado quickly rallied and found a way to continue their free educational opportunities over zoom. The next event will be Thursday, December 7th from 6-7pm. Come meet the newest addition to the CHCO and UCH Urology team – Dr. Dan Wood!
Dr. Wood is an expert in transitional urology and will be sharing with us some of his lessons learned from years of working with adolescents and young adults with spina bifida.
He will share some tips adolescents and young adults can use to start important conversations at urology visits. And, he will share some strategies that caregivers should keep in mind as they support their adolescents and young adults during the transition to adult health care.
Finally, we will spend the last portion of the lecture providing an overview of our new pen pal activity.
