Denver Art Museum’s Sensory Friendly Mornings

October 13 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Denver Art Museum’s Sensory Friendly Mornings is a program for kids with neurodiversity or sensory processing disorders to visit the museum with their families in a safe and fun way. The museum opens early at 9am, dims the lights, and provides tools to guide a sensory-friendly experience for the whole family. Visitors can explore engaging exhibitions, “meet and make” with local artists, participate in art making and therapeutic activities, and more, all in a safe and sensory-friendly environment.

This event is free with registration.

The Museum offers a number of exciting elements to Sensory-Friendly Mornings, including an additional hour, expanding to include both the Hamilton and Martin buildings, designated “sensory sanctuaries” in the activity zones, improved sensory aids (special thanks to Autism Community Store), and more.
